Every May, 5 the world celebrates an International Day of Protection of rights of people with disabilities. Vladivostok celebrates this day by organizing contest games, street basketball matches, table hockey and backgammon tournaments for people with disabilities.
The event was attended by an acting vice-governor of Primorsky krai on matters of healthcare, education, science and innovations, welfare, labor, and culture Irina V. Vasilkova who opened the games by her welcoming address along with the head of the Department of Welfare Lidiya Lavrentyeva.
All of the participants of the games in the end have received their gifts and were awarded with prizes.
